What comes in the box?
- 1× Warden body camera
- 1× Long 360° rotating clip
- 1× Short 360° rotating clip
- 1× Bike / handlebar 360° mount
- 1× USB Type-C cable
- 1× User manual
A microSD card is not included — see below for why.
Does it come with a memory card?
No, and that is deliberate. The Warden takes a microSD (TF) card and the right capacity depends entirely on how you use it, so we leave the choice to you rather than charging you for one you may not want.
Anything from 32GB to 256GB works. A 128GB card holds roughly ten hours of 1080p footage, which is about one full battery. We would suggest a Class 10 / U3 card so it can keep up with continuous HD video.
What does the 180° rotating lens actually do for me?
It means the mount stops deciding the shot. Clip the Warden upside down on a rucksack strap, sideways on a handlebar, or flat against a windscreen, and you can twist the lens itself until the horizon comes back level.
On a fixed-lens body camera, an awkward mounting point gives you tilted or upside-down footage. Here it does not.
How long does the battery last in practice?
Around ten hours of continuous 1080p recording from the 3000mAh cell — enough for a full shift or a long day out. A flat camera charges back to full in roughly four hours over USB-C, and you can keep recording while it is plugged into a power bank.
What happens when the card fills up?
With loop recording switched on, the Warden writes over the oldest clip and keeps going, so it is still running at the one moment you need it. If you would rather it stopped and kept everything, turn loop recording off.
Do you sell other cameras?
No — deliberately. We stock one unit so we can answer real questions about it. See About Us for why.
Using It
How do I get the footage onto my computer?
Connect it with the supplied USB Type-C cable. It appears as a standard drive on Windows and macOS, and the video files can be copied off like any other files — no software to install. If you would rather not connect the camera at all, take the microSD card out and use a card reader.
How good is the night vision?
Four infrared LEDs sit around the lens and carry detail through an unlit path, a dark stairwell or a car park after closing. It is genuinely useful at conversational distance rather than across a field — infrared falls off quickly, so treat it as help in a dark space, not a floodlight.
If you have a specific situation in mind, email us and we will tell you honestly whether it will cope.
Can I mount it on a bike or a motorbike?
Yes — the 360° bike mount in the box clamps around a handlebar or bar-end in seconds and can face front or rear. Combined with the rotating lens, you can get a level shot from almost any bar position.
Can I use it while it charges?
Yes — it will keep recording on USB power, which is how most people run the Warden as a dash cam or a webcam. If you are planning to rely on it for something important, email us first and we will confirm from the camera in front of us rather than guess on a FAQ page.
Ordering & Payment
Which payment methods do you accept?
- Visa — credit and debit, UK and international
- Mastercard — credit and debit, UK and international
- American Express
The payment icons in our footer match this list exactly. If a method isn't listed, we don't offer it. Full detail on our Payment Policy page.
Are there any hidden costs at checkout?
None. The price on the product page is the price you pay. UK delivery is free, there is no handling fee, no card surcharge, and nothing is added at the final step. UK VAT, where applicable, is already included.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are shown and charged in pounds sterling (GBP). If your card was issued outside the UK, your bank may apply its own conversion rate and a foreign transaction fee — that charge comes from your bank, not from us.
When am I charged?
At the point you place the order. You'll get an order confirmation immediately, then a dispatch email with tracking once the parcel leaves us.
My payment was declined — what now?
The usual causes are a billing address that doesn't match your card, insufficient funds, or your bank blocking an unfamiliar merchant. Check those, then try again or use another method. If it still won't go through, email us and we'll help.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Email us as soon as you can. If it hasn't been dispatched we'll cancel and refund in full, or correct a wrong address. Once a parcel has gone out to an address you supplied, we can't recall it — at that point treat it as a change-of-mind return.
Delivery
How much is delivery?
Free on every order to any UK address. No minimum spend, no surcharge.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Not currently. We ship within the United Kingdom only.
How quickly will it arrive?
| Processing | 0–1 working days |
| Transit | 3–5 working days |
| Total, typically | 3–6 working days |
Orders placed before 3:00 pm GMT are dispatched the same working day. After 3:00 pm, at a weekend, or on a UK public holiday, they go the next working day. Deliveries run Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Who delivers it, and will I need to sign?
Royal Mail, on a tracked service. No signature needed — if you're out, the driver may leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour at their discretion.
How do I track my order?
Your dispatch email contains a tracking number and link. Tracking can take up to 24 hours to show its first scan, so a blank result on the first evening is normal.
You can also check any time on our Track Your Order page using your order number and email address.
My parcel hasn't arrived.
If tracking hasn't updated for 5 working days, or nothing has arrived within 10 working days of dispatch, email support@minirecorder.co with your order number. We'll open an enquiry with Royal Mail and either resend or refund in full. You don't need to chase the carrier yourself.
Something's missing or wrong in my parcel.
Email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of what you received. We'll send the correct item at our cost — you won't be asked to pay postage for our mistake.
Returns & Refunds
How long do I have to return something?
30 days from the day your item arrives. That sits alongside your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason — our window is longer than the legal minimum, not a replacement for it.
Can I return it if I've opened and used it?
Yes. Opening the box, charging it and trying the camera does not void your return — you can't judge a device like this without switching it on, so we'd rather you did.
We do need it complete and undamaged: all accessories (both clips, the bike mount, the cable and the manual) and the original packaging. Items damaged through misuse, or returned incomplete, can't be accepted.
Who pays return postage?
We do. We email a prepaid label as a PDF to print and attach — nothing to pay and nothing to claim back afterwards. This applies to every return, whatever the reason. If you can't print at home, tell us and we'll arrange an alternative.
There is no restocking fee, handling fee, or any other deduction. An approved return is refunded in full at the price you paid.
How do I start a return?
Email support@minirecorder.co with your order number and the reason. We reply within 24 to 48 hours on working days with your label and instructions.
Do you do exchanges?
Yes, within the same 30-day window and on the same condition terms. We send the free label, and once your item arrives and passes inspection we dispatch the replacement — same working day where possible, no delivery charge either way.
If you'd rather not wait for two parcels in sequence, say so and we'll refund the original instead so you can reorder immediately.
When will I get my refund?
Approved refunds are issued within 7 days of the item reaching us, back to the original payment method — we can't refund to a different card or account. Depending on your bank it can take a further 3 to 5 working days to show on your statement.
If a return is refused we'll explain why in writing and send the item back to you at no cost.
Can I return it in person?
No — we're an online shop with no retail counter, so all returns are by post using the label we provide.
Legal & Privacy
Is it legal to use a body camera in the UK?
Filming in a public place, or recording an incident you are part of, is generally lawful in the UK for your own personal use.
It gets more complicated once other people are involved. Filming covertly, recording on private property, wearing a camera at work without your employer's knowledge and policy behind it, or passing footage on to someone else can all create obligations under UK GDPR and may be unlawful in some circumstances. You're responsible for using the camera in line with the law where you are.
What data do you collect about me?
Order details (name, addresses, email, phone), plus browsing and device data through cookies. We never see or store your full card number — card details go directly to our payment providers.
Full detail, including cookie categories and who we share data with, is on our Privacy Policy page.
How do I access or delete my data?
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Email support@minirecorder.co and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Do I need to be 18 to order?
Yes. You must be at least 18 to place an order. See our Terms of Service.
About Us
Who are you?
A small independent shop on the East Lothian coast, just outside Edinburgh. We stock one body camera and know it properly, rather than listing fifty devices we've never opened.
Where is stock held?
Here in the UK — not a warehouse three weeks away. Order before 3:00 pm GMT and it leaves the same working day.
Will a real person answer my email?
Yes. One of us reads it and replies, usually within one working day and always within 24 to 48 hours on working days. No ticket queue, no script.
When are you open?
Customer service runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm GMT.
